 DROMBOUGHIL WALK NO 2
16TH MAY 2013

This week eight people and a dog went for a walk in much nicer conditions, not too hot, not cold. We stopped to admire the peacocks, but alas, there was only one little brown hen wandering about so it wasn't quite so entertaining!
Down past Cecil's and across the bridge over the river ...

 .... and into the 'Hollow'.
Up the surprisingly evil set of steps to the Priory.  (By the time you get up these steps your legs are positively screaming at you!)
A couple of pictures to prove that I made it.

Across the Main Street, and up the Curragh Road

At this point I was hoping that the plan was to stop before we reached the top of Benbradagh!  We did, we turned down the Naas Road.
Route conference - right or left.  We went right, down to the Dry Arch, back through the town and ...
.... back down Magheramore Road.  At least the end was just a mile away now.

 Posh gates.
A rough guestimate of the distance walked was 6-7 miles.  These are all warm-ups for the longer sponsored walk in June - what length will that be???????
