DROMBOUGHIL CHARITY EASTER BONNET COFFEE MORNING

On Saturday 31st March 2012 we will be holding a very special Coffee Morning in the Centre to raise money in support of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.

It will run from 10.00am  - 1.00pm and the special guest will be Joe Mahon of "Lesser spotted Ulster" fame.  As the subject suggests we would like you to come along with your Easter Bonnet on and Joe will be judging them and lovely prizes will be awarded.

Admission will be £5.00, children free but they must be accompanied by an adult.

PLEASE DO COME ALONG AND HELP MAKE THIS EVENT A GREAT SUCCESS AND HELP RAISE MONEY FOR THIS MOST IMPORTANT WORK.

DROMBOUGHIL CRAFT CLASS - IMPORTANT UPDATE

As of Tuesday 31st January 2012 the Craft Class has changed day and time. The venue continues to be The Hub but it is now being held on MONDAY EVENINGS 7.00PM - 9.30PM.

This is being tried as the previous arrangements didn't suit everyone who would like to have been present and to possibly attract extra new members to the class. The first Monday night was a great success with new members coming along.

FADA do Chair Zumba

One of the activities, in partnership with Be Safe, Be Well, that has been organised for the FADA group are chair exercises.

Here they went one better and did Chair Zumba - which I had never heard of before.








Nicola came along to instruct the ladies who took part.












No problem for our fit ladies!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

On behalf of the Directors, Committee and Staff of Dromboughil may I wish you a very happy and blessed New year.

Don't forget the classes re-commencing with Start IT on Tuesday 10th January 2012, crafts, yoga etc start the following week.

Also, don't forget the facilities available at the Centre:
Computer Suite for surfing etc.
Recycling bins for bottles.
Photocopying.
Wide variety of classes.

Now this is what I call relaxed exercise. Moira is reading the paper while on the exercise bike. Sorry Moira but I couldn't resist taking this picture and putting it on the blog.

All I can say is that if she ever takes to the road on a real bike I hope she leaves reading until she gets back home!

Dromboughill Christmas Lunch

It's that time of year again! Christmas, and time for the Christmas Lunch.
It was held on Thursday 1st December in the hall so a lot of preparation had to be done.

The tree came down from the attic to brighten up the hallway.

















The invitation went out and the food prepared for the guests.











It was a chance to enjoy a good meal, a chat with their friends and get broken in slowly for the Christmas rush to come.

After a good lunch, a couple of carols, the hamper draw and a lot of chat everyone went home having spent a pleasant couple of hours.

Dromboughil Craft Fayre and Exhibition

There was a flurry of activity in the Centre in the days and weeks leading up to the weekend of 18th-20th November 2011.
The reason was our Craft Fayre and Exhibition being held in our Main Hall.
