Grounds clean-up by BB

On Saturday 19th February 2011 a small group of members from the local Boys Brigade came along with their officers to do a clear up of the Centre grounds. (This was part of their Community Service badgework)

They did a great job clearing up the leaves and debris left by the Winter storms and just generally tidied the place up.

Another job some of the undertook was to plant up some Spring bulbs in pots that will brighten the front of the entrance to the Centre.





Good job boys. Thank you to you all! (And the Officers who gave up their Saturday morning to come along and supervise the boys)

Happy New Year All - We're back again!

Dromboughil Community Centre is open for business again! Classes will be getting under way again in the near future - some have already started.
Tuesday 11th January 2011 saw the re-commencement of the Craft Class 12.30pm -3.30pm - new members will be most welcome.
Wednesday 12th 2011 was the beginning of the new morning yoga session 10.30am - 12.30pm and this will run until 13th April 2011.
Thursday 13th January 2011 - the evening yoga class re-comminces and runs until 14th April 2011. Fada also begins to meet on Thursday 13th.

Our monthly Coffee Mornings start again on Friday 28th January 2011 - come one, come all and enjoy the chat and company.

Dromboughil Pre-Christmas Table Sale

Saturday 13th November proved to be a very busy day in the Community Centre with our Pre-Christmas table sale.

It was a very pleasant day weatherwise and the sale was well supported by the local community.















Katrina Lynch came along with a selection of Jamie Oliver Cookware.












Mary Kathleen Groogan brought along a variety of articles from her shop that would make good Christmas presents.

















There was a wide variety of crafts available on sale - no excuse for not finding something from Crafty Crafts.

















Iona Gems proved to be very popular. A wonderful range of jewellery was on display.































You could have a seat and have a cup of tea which was included in the entrance fee of a mere £2.00.



























The Top Tier Bakery was probably the most popular stand as it contained such a wealth of lovely sweet temptation.











Olive did a fine job selling raffle tickets for our Christmas raffle

The winning tickets will be drawn at the Christmas Coffee Morning which will be held on 17th December 2010. Get your tickets now from the office.

Halloween at FADA

Halloween brought a bit of added interest to the tables at Fada with a selection of fresh fruit and nuts and special halloween candles to add colour.


























David could not be accused of being lazy. He does his 15 minute session each week.

Dromboughil Annual General meeting

Our AGM was a most successful evening and was Chaired by Catherine Farrimond, Community Development Office for Limavady Borough Council assisted by Mr Joe Blake, Historian and Broadcaster .

Joe spoke to us about funding in the future for the Community.




















We showed a short Power Point presentation of all that had happened in the Community over the past year.
