Dromboughil Staff Christmas Lunch

This event was a little late. Originally planned for 21st December 2009 it actually took place on Monday 1st February 2010 in the Oakleaf, the reason being that we didn't fancy facing Glenshane in the snow.

"Oh no, she's got the camera out again!"

The chat was good.

We were all on iced water - honestly!

FADA Christmas lunch

FADA CHRISTMAS LUNCH

The FADA group held their Christmas lunch on Thursday 10th December 2009 in the Gortnadrum and kindly invited the centre staff to join them.

The food was good!

Valerie organised a Lucky Dip for the FADA members.

Some 'dips' were more lucky than others.

Mary went first.

Kathleen seemed happy with what she got too.

Just watching.

Watch out for the spiders at the bottom!

Valerie had received a letter of thanks for the group for their support for the Big Knit and took this opportunity to circulate it among the group.

An amazing piece of sculpture made with the contents of four crackers. Good, isn't it??
Next stop Tate Modern!

Catch up items.

A few events around Christmas passed unreported, but I am just about to correct that for you now.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING
Our Christmas Coffee Morning was held on Friday 18th December 2009 and was well supported.

Our Christmas tree lit up the hall way with its' lights and decorations.

A good number of people came along for a chat and a cup of tea or coffee - and of course the scones with jam and cream.

Our little hall tree with a number of the prizes to be won in the Christmas Draw as well as the annually produced Christmas Hamper.

And they kept coming.

We were honoured with the presence of the Mayor of Limavady Cathal O hOsin and even had members of the press along to record the event.
He circulated and chatted to some of the people there.

He also kindly agreed to do the draw for the Christmas Draw..........

... and presented the prizes to the winners who were present.

It was a good morning giving those who came along a chance to rest for a while and have a chat amidst all the madness of their preparations for Christmas.
